Fontaines D.C announce new album and mega tour

Fontaines D.C have announced their highly anticipated, new album ‘Romance’ set to be released August 23rd. This is the fourth studio album from the thriving post-punk band which will consist of 11 tracks and is now available to pre-order from their website.

An exciting new track ‘Starburster’ has already been released and seems to be gaining popularity fast. Grian Chatten (Fontaines D.C’s frontman) has shared that his inspiration for the song was a panic attack he faced in a train station in London. The intense rhythm and swift lyrics that are almost rapped mimic that feeling. Grian takes heavy breaths multiple times throughout the track, alongside passionate drumming and guitar which further enhances that troubling atmosphere.

In addition, the group announced a UK and Ireland tour for this winter. The band will be playing 9 shows with the support of Diiv (London exclusive) and Sorry.

General on sale for tickets is Friday 26th April at 10am BST.
